Helgoland is the only island of Germany on open sea and it’s a worthwhile place to make a visit. We spent a few days in Helgoland during the summer sailing of 2013.
Most of the visitors arrive on ships to buy tax-free goods but also the marina was full of boats during our stay there.
The 3.5 km long nature trail goes around Helgoland. It is possible to admire the birds soaring because over 400 bird spices are nesting in Helgoland. The island is divided into highland and lowland by a fascinating way and there are a plenty of places to explore. Join us to visit the North Sea and Helgoland with this sailing video of Suwena.
